How to Get Started with NCCTMA courses

First:  Download and Install 

Download and Install NCCTMA's Computer Program.  You will see the download link on home page and follow the instructions.

Click, "Program Download Button" to begin the download and installation onto your computer automatically or manually.  Note: This is a "Java Web Start Program" Installation.

After the download and installation is completed, you will see a button to launch or come back to the home page, next press the Launch Button (Program Download & Launch Button) to activate the program.  This time, the NCCTMA Program will update NCCTMA Computer Program into your computer.

Upon completion of this update, you will see a login window.  Press "apply" button to complete your registration.

Second:  Registration (You must download and installed the program first. And "Register=Apply" from the login window)

You must first register and secure a login ID with your personal information through  NCCTMA's Online Computer Program.  This is a free program with many helpful and convenient features.  The registration process is required only once but updates may be needed in the future if your personal information changes.  Once you have become a registered user of ncctma.com, and selected your own username and password for access purposes, you will receive a confirmation and notification by e-mail. 

Third:  Choose the Course

If you logged in through the NCCTMA online computer program, you will see the NCCTMA computer program's main lobby.  Also you will see the NCCTMA Course Study Information when you click "Register" button at the NCCTMA's  Main lobby.  Make your course choice and pay ($20.00 per credit hour) at NCCTMA's Online Computer Program. 

After completing the payment process, you will have access to the course study materials. 

Now, begin Course Instruction...

There are two ways to complete your NCCTMA courses:

One:  Course Complete by Attendance...(No examination required)

If you prefer to complete your CAE course by attending the required hours without examination, you may do so by entering the NCCTMA Computer Program.  After you enter the NCCTMA Computer Program, you will see the button on the left side for checking time.  Proceed to the lesson section and study all required subject matter on your  own time schedule.  NCCTMA will automatically calculate your time spent with the program studying.

After you complete the required time, you should be able to see the course completion status on your program and by clicking the button you will receive your Certificate by e-mail. 

 All your personal information including your courses studied will show on the record section.  Open the record section and you will see all previously chosen courses on the NCCTMA Computer Program.  Therefore, you may not repeat same subject study every year. 

*While you login and study, the program will be periodically checking to confirm identity of person and attendance  If you fail to respond, your attendance time will be paused until confirmation is complete.  This is a random checking feature of the program.  You will also be asked to identify yourself as the actual user with personal questions.

Two:  Course Complete by Examination...(Examination required)

Course Completion by Examination for certain NCCTMA's courses.  While attending the online course, you will be given a choice of reading, listening to audio and video lectures, or taking an examination.  If the participant chooses the examination feature, the course can be completed early by successfully answering the examination questions. This examination will allow you only 20 minutes to completed  with 25 multiple questions.

 Starting and ending times: Any Time On line.    Broken down into 1 hour increments for each subject.

 Certification by attendance

 Reading Lecture

Checking every 30 minutes with a pop up window and question about the subject being read. If there is no answer, or a wrong answer is given, the program will be paused until correct answer is given and resume from this point.

 Voice lecture

Checking every 30 minutes with a pop up window and question about the subject being read. If there is no answer, or a wrong answer is given, the program will be paused until correct answer is given and resume from this point.

 Video Lecture

Checking every 30 minutes with a pop up window and question about the subject being read. If there is no answer, or a wrong answer is given, the program will be paused until correct answer is given and resume from this point.

Certification by Examination

Whenever study is completed.  Click “Start quiz” and start your test.  Twenty five questions are displayed and time begins.  When the test has been completed, click done button to see test results.  If you passed the test, You do not need to stay required time.

If you failed the test, you can retest until you passed the test without any extra cost.
